This Creepy Thriller
Scott Derrickson's claustrophobic thriller holds up well without requiring a continuation. Located in 1970s Colorado, several child abductions has rendered the children on edge. This Dramatic Portrait
In the struggle between God and Mammon, the winner is obvious for Mammon in Michael Showalter's wonderfully garish biopic about the fallen religious broadcaster and her criminal husband. Andrew Garfield portrays the venal Jim, who states at the beginning, asserting religious justification for riches. He and Tammy Faye begin capitalizing on the nation's spiritual convictions. It's a spectacle of bad interior design, excessive cosmetics and hypocrisy, however Jessica Chastain manages to show the real-life figure in a likable light. Tuesday 14 October, late night, Film4
